Junior Varsity Opens District With a Win Over Klein Collins

The Highlander JV (8-2) opened up District play with a win against Klein Collins by the score of 5-1. Marco Peņa (3-0) went the distance while striking out 4, allowing 3 hits and 2 walks. Taylor Parr went 2 for 4 (single, double, 2 RBIs, 1 run scored), Brian Schmidt went 1 for 2 (single, 2 walks, 1 run scored), Taylor Skaufel went 1 for 3 (single, walk, 2 RBIs, 1 run scored) and Colby Dodson went 1 for 3 (single, sac fly, 1 RBI, 1 run scored).

The Highlander JV next plays at home on Friday, March 18, 7pm, against Klein.
