Sophomore Green Opens District With a Loss To Klein Collins

The Highlander Sophomore Green team came into District play after three decisive wins in the Klein ISD tournament over the prior weekend only to drop a close game to Klein Collins.The green team dropped the opener 4-3 on Tuesday to the Tigers, a team they had previously beaten 11-1 in the in the final game of the tournament.

Pitching for the Green team was Travis Keating ( 5 2/3 innings, 4-runs, 6-hits, 8-K, 2-BB) and Andy Parmigiano (2/3 inning, 0-Runs, 0-hits, 2-K, 0-BB)

The Green team out hit Klein Collins with 10 hits: Carlson-(1-4), King-(1-4), Maurice-(2-4, 1-dbl.), Pruitt-(2-4), Kohli-(3-4, 2-RBIs), Eckenrode-(1-3)
