Green Team Downs Huntsville 13-4

The Sophomore green team started slow but came alive in the middle innings to take their third District win over the Huntsville Hornets 13-4 on Thursday.The Highlanders used a 14 hit performance from a strong line-up, and starter Jake Carlson went a strong four innings on the mound and was followed by Andy Parmigiano who went the final three and closed out the game.

Sophomore Green beat Huntsville behind the pitching of Jake Carlson (4 IP, 6- hits ,2-K, 1-BB) and Andy Parmigiano (3 IP, 2- hits, 2-K ,1-BB). They combined to hold the Hornets to only 4 runs supported by a strong defensive show.

Offensively, the Green team belted out 14 hits. Edwards-(2 for 3, 1-dbl) Pruitt-(3 for 5, 1- dbl.) Raines-(2 for 5,1-dbl) Maurice-(2 for 2, 3-BB) Gullo-(1 for 5, 1-triple) Keating-(2 for 4), Lehman-(1-3) and Miller-(1 for 1) . Green 41 PA- Hornets 31 PA
