Junior Varsity Remains Undefeated

A pair of two run home runs from Bryan Byers and Jake Bellar lead the way in the 13-3 win over the Conroe Tigers.   Starting pitcher Marco Peņa gave four strong innings, and fellow southpaw Lon Schuster closed the 5 inning game allowing no hits. The Highlander JV squad is now 5-0 in District play and 12-2 overall.

the Highlander JV remain undefeated in District play. Jake Bellar (1 for 2, HR, walk, 2 RBIs, 3 runs scored) and Bryan Byers (2 for 2, HR, single, walk, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored) each hit 2-run shots over the left field fence. Ryan Mooney continued his outstanding offensive performance going 3 for 3 and collecting another RBI (double, 2 singles, 2 runs scored).

The Highlander JV next plays at Lufkin on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 6pm.
