The
Highlander JV ends the 1/2 half of District play with a perfect 7-0
record (14-2 overall) by beating Oak Ridge 14-0. Mike
Dimitroff (4 IP, 1 K, 1 BB) pitched 4 scoreless innings and allowed only
one hit in posting his second win in District. Marco Peņa
struck out the side in the 5th and final inning of the game. The
Highlander offense provided more than enough run support by combining
for 9 hits in 24 AB and 12 RBIs. Colby Dodson (1 for 2, HR, 2 BB, 2
RBIs, 3 runs scored) hit his first homerun in District play and second
of the season.

Curtis Damiani put on an impressive offensive performance after going 2
for 3 with a double and a triple. Bryan Byers (2 for 3, 2 doubles, 2
RBIs, 2 runs scored) and Ryan Mooney (2 for 4, 2 singles, 2 RBIs, 3 runs
scored) finished the first half of District play with a 5-game hitting
streak.
The Highlander JV starts the second half of District play at home
against Klein Collins on Friday, April 8th, 7pm.
