Sophomore Green Wins Over Huntsville and Conroe

The Green followed a close 5-4 win over HUntsville on Friday with a decisive 9-0 victory over the Conroe Tigers on Saturday afternoon in Conroe. On Friday night Friday night Jon Delgado pitched 6 innings and was 3-4 with 1 home run and Saturday John Kholi was 4-5 and led the 13 hit offensive attack behind Scott Johnstons 2 hit, 13 strikeout complete game.

The Sophomore Green team escaped with a 5 to 4 win over Huntsville Friday night. Jon Delgado pitched 6 innings and was 3-4 with 1 home run. The Green team leads district 14-5A at 10 and 1.
The Sophomore Green team scored the go ahead run in the bottom of the 7th inning with a double hit by Jon Delgado. The Green team came to bat in the bottom of the 7th with the scored tie 4-4. John Kohli started the inning off with a single. Jake Carlson gave up a SAC bunt to move Kohli to 2nd base. Delgado was up next and hit a long fly ball deep to right center field hitting the fence, plating Kohli for the winning run.

Sophomore Green improved their district 14-5A record to 11and 1 with a win over the Conroe Tigers 9-0. Scott Johnston pitched 7 innings allowing only 2 hits and had 13 strike outs and no runs. Johnston didn't give up a hit until the 6th inning. The offense belted out 13 hits and was led by John Kohli (2b) who was 4 for 5
