Junior Varsity Finishes District With a Win

The Highlander JV capped the 2005 season with an exciting come-back-from-behind victory over cross-town rival Oak Ridge by the score of 13-9. Taylor Parr (3 IP, 4 K), Nick Parenti (3 IP, 5 K, 2 H) and Colton Mckey combined to help the Highlanders record the 19th win of the season.

The Highlander JV (12-2, 19-5) capped the 2005 season with an exciting come-back-from-behind victory over cross-town rival Oak Ridge by the score of 13-9. Taylor Parr (3 IP, 4 K), Nick Parenti (3 IP, 5 K, 2 H) and Colton Mckey combined to help the Highlanders record the 19th win of the season. Nick Parenti, who came on relief in the 4th inning, threw 77% strikes, allowed no walks and only 1 earned run in 3 innings. Offensively, the Highlanders were lead by Colby Dodson (3 for 4, 2 1B, 2B, 2 runs scored), Rory Miller ( 2 for 4, 2 2B, 2 RBIs) and Brian Byers (2 for 4, 1B, 2B, 3 RBIs). Taylor Parr hit his 2 homerun of the season with a solo shot over center field in the 2nd inning.
