04/30/05 Volunteer JV	Junior Varsity Finishes District With a Win The Highlander JV capped the 2005 season with an exciting come-back-from-behind victory over cross-town rival Oak Ridge by the score of 13-9. Taylor Parr (3 IP, 4 K), Nick Parenti (3 IP, 5 K, 2 H) and Colton Mckey combined to help the Highlanders record the 19th win of the season. More... [Top]

04/27/05 Volunteer JV	Junior Varsity Run Rules Lufkin 13-3 The Highlander JV dominated Lufkin in their second meeting by the score of 13-3. Mike Dimitroff (5 IP, 4 BB, 4 H) struck out 10 to earn his 4th win of the season. Colton Mckey hammered the final nails in the coffin by pitching a scoreless 6th and final inning. More... [Top]

04/24/05 Volunteer JV	Highlander JV Takes Two Junior Varsity is back on the winning track with wins over Huntsville and Conroe. On Friday, the Highlander JV got back on the winning track with a victory at home against Hunstville, 10-6, and on Saturday continued the 2-game winning streak by beating Conroe, 13-8. More... [Top]

04/16/05 Volunteer JV	Highlander JV Drops Contests to Klein Forest and Bellaire The Junior Varsity dropped a District game to Klein Forest 5-3 Friday night. 04/11/05 Volunteer JV	Junior Varsity Wins Over Klein 10-4 Marco Peña goes six innings for the win and Taylor Parr homered for the first time of the season. The Highlander JV (8-1, 15-3) rebounded from their 1st District loss to beat Klein by the score of 10-4. More... [Top]

04/04/05 Volunteer JV	Highlander JV Undefeated in First Half of District The Highlander JV ends the 1/2 half of District play with a perfect 7-0 record (14-2 overall) by beating Oak Ridge 14-0. 03/06/05 Volunteer JV	Highlander JV stays undefeated at 4-0 by taking two from Tomball, 8-3 and 11-7 In the first game, Colton Mckey and Ben Smiley combined to work a 7 inning effort. The Highlander JV beat Friendswood in 4 innings by the score of 14-2
Colton Mckey pitched 3 innings, allowing only 1 hit and 1 one run and striking out 3. Lon Schuster closed the game allowing no hits and 1 run in one inning. The Highlanders had an impressive offensive performance with 14 hits out of 26 official at bats. Robbie Ray went 3 for 3 (triple and 2 singles) and Kyle Bouthilet went 2 for 3 including a two-run opposite-field homerun. More... [Top]
