HOME RUN CLUB 2007 GOLF TOURNAMENT Dear Highlander Baseball Family, The Home Run Club will be hosting a golf tournament on Monday, December 3rd at Canongate at The Woodlands – The Oaks Course. The tournament format will be a 4-Man Florida Scramble with a shotgun start at 12:30 PM. Registration will begin at 11:30 AM. As many of you know, a golf tournament can be a great, fun way to raise money for our program. The football and basketball booster programs each host their own tournaments and they have been very successful. For us to accomplish our goal, it will require a commitment from all families involved in the baseball program. We are asking every family to put together a foursome with your friends and colleagues, and come out and play in the tournament. If golf is not your sport, at a minimum we ask that you commit to being a tournament sponsor at one of the sponsorship levels available. The registration form and sponsorship levels are described in the attachment. Although participation in the tournament is important, business sponsorships are critical to the fund raising effort. Please consider asking your company, or a company with which you do business, for a sponsorship commitment. I know many players are associated with select teams and many players take private lessons. I’m sure these groups or individuals will be glad to contribute to further our excellent baseball program. In addition, we would like donations from individuals or businesses for tournament and raffle prizes. I would appreciate any help or input on how we can make our tournament a big success. I will be sending emails periodically letting everyone know how we are doing with signups and sponsor commitments. We ask that everyone turn in their registration forms as soon as you get them completed, at the latest by the middle of November, so that we can determine how much help we will need at the tournament.
